The most obvious conclusion is that he wants to kill the sentient pile of clothes, which would explain the look of fear. His finger, however, could just as easily be pointing to Stickcat, which would instead suggest that he is commanding his abominable creation to at last wreak the vengeance that he himself had been unable to personally enact. In the context of this interpretation, that look of fear might actually be anxiety over the fact that Stickcat has discovered the terrible secret of his newborn sockspawn, and so he now must eliminate all witnesses...no matter the cost. So is our bipedal protagonist a repentant victim of his own unwitting sloth, or is he the fiendish father of a murderous monster the likes of which would make Frankenstein faint? YOU DECIDE.
